Setting up TrustRegister

Setting up TrustRegister is made super easy by TrustCloud; it is an effortless, comprehensive and personalized risk register. Either by bringing in your risk register or starting from scratch, you can set up your TrustRegister in a few simple steps.

Setting up TrustRegister with a pre-filling risk assessment template

If you are new to TrustRegister, 

1. Go to your TrustRegister.
2. Click on the “Get Started” button of the “Start with a template” tile.
   
   
3. TrustRegister offers a comprehensive risk management catalog and provides you with a baseline to get started with. These are automatically mapped to mitigating controls in your program. 
4. Go through each risk to make sure it is applicable to your organization, as not all risks are relevant to each organization. You can add new risks as needed.

Creating a new Risk Register

1. Go to “Risk Register.”
2. Click on the “Get Started” button on the “Create a new risk register” tile.
   
3. Click on the “+ Add New Risk” button.
4. You will be redirected to the Risk Detail page.
   
5. Enter details like Risk Name, Category, Subcategory, Reporting Group, Group and Risk Impact.
6. Click on the “Create” button.

Ingest an existing Risk Register

1. Go to the TrustRegister and click on the “Get Started” button of the “I already have a Risk Register” tile.
2. Kindly refer to the instructions in the downloadable template. If you have your own register, contact the support team to help you import it.
3. A few things to keep in mind while using the standard risk register template:
   1.  If you are bulk importing your risks and mitigating controls, make sure your controls have already been added to TrustOps.
   2. If you are using custom categories, please contact the support team before bulk importing, and support team will set up these categories for you.
4. Once you have uploaded your risk, you are ready to use TrustRegister. You can always add new risks or edit any of the existing ones by clicking on the row.
