Set up Jira Cloud for Jira Ticket as Evidence

Purpose

Once you set up your compliance program, TrustCloud TrustOps works to ensure that your systems remain compliant with your adopted controls. To do so, TrustCloud retrieves lists of resources against systems in your product and business stack to use for compliance evidence.

This document outlines the steps you can take to grant TrustCloud access to retrieve Jira ticket details and use it as an evidence.

Instructions to grant TrustCloud limited access to Jira Cloud

  1. Login to your Jira Cloud instance as a user who has read permission for all the projects and also has access to create an API token in your organization.
  2. In the upper-right corner of any page, click the gear icon.jira 1
  3. Click on the Atlassian account settings.jira 2
  4. In the left sidebar, click on the Security.jira 3 2
  5. In the security page, check for API tokens section and click on Create and Manage API tokens.jira 4
  6. On the API Tokens page, click on Create API Token button.jira 5
  7. On the Create API Token dialog, provide a label and click on Create button.jira 6
  8. Click on the Copy button on Your new API token dialog to copy generated token to clipboard.jira 7
  9. Enter the API Key obtained in step 8 into TrustOps.
