TrustCloud understands that your business is unique, and you might already have security and privacy programs in place. So, control customization is a focus and a pillar of TrustCloud’s platform, making it effortless for you to craft custom controls. On the control details page in TrustOps, you can edit a control and customize the control statement language, policy mappings, and frequency of the control to accurately reflect your business practices.

A step-by-step guide to editing controls

  1. On the Controls page, click on the control that you want to edit.
  2. Click on the three-ellipsis icon or three-dot menu(…) in the top-right corner. From the drop-down menu, click on “Edit Control.”
    The following screenshot shows how to edit a control.

  3. On the top section of this page, you can edit:
    1. Control Statement
    2. Control ID
    3. Group
    4. Evaluation Frequency.
    5. Standards mapping
  4. Click on the “Update Control” button.
  5. Go back to controls page and click on the updated control and check if the changes are reflected.
  6. You can move planned control to “Adopted” from the same three dot menu by clicking on “Move to Adopted.” Also you can move adopted control to “Planned” from the same three dot menu by clicking on “Move to Planned”.
